Phi Gamma Delta offers fruitful opportunities of many kinds to its members. Through fostering lifelong friendships and offering leadership workshops, organizational development opportunities, academic assistance, and a variety of social activities, our members are supplied with all the ingredients for the best university experience possible. With all these possible benefits in mind, the Tau Kappa chapter of Phi Gamma Delta encourages you to participate in fraternity recruitment.
How much you gain from your university experience is closely related to how much effort you put into exploring your interests and making yourself better. While the main focus for any post-secondary student is to excel in course work, many opportunities for leadership development, enjoying a rich social life, and building lifelong friendships are more readily available to those students who put themselves outside of their social comfort zone.

Set your goals
Now is the time to decide what you want to get out of joining a fraternity. Why are you rushing? Are you looking to take on a leadership role? Do you want to build a network of friends and colleagues which you can leverage once you graduate? Maybe you simply want to meet new people and have a more enjoyable university experience. Considering your goals will help you pick between your options and will make the decision to join an easier one.
Explore your options
Visit as many fraternities as you can to really begin understanding what you like about certain organizations versus others. Much of your decision making will come down to who you get to know at each house and how well you connect with them. Just like test driving a new car, you have to experience each house before making the right decision.
Get to know the brothers
Once you’ve decided on the chapter you want to join, spend as much time as possible getting to know the brothers in that chapter. Try to get to know most if not all of the brothers in the fraternity as it will kickstart the lifelong bonds you will form with these men. It will also show the brothers that you are serious about joining their organization and are committed to exploring this opportunity.
